THE OGBARUANS, WHAT A PEOPLE
I see the beatitude of nature, filled with the gift of
life and abundance as Eden of Adam.
A people dressed by the flow of the Niger, the
enriched deposit untapped, but kept for tomorrow.
A people with the sure way of life where Fish is Fish
eaten at it’s freshness.
I see through your eyes, the portrait of a rising
giant empowered to reach the pinnacle, yea! Some are
near, coming into the arena, others coming to the top
via the hand that keeps.
Rise up O! Ogbaruans arise and face the battle for its
not by might of squad or ballistic weapon;
Put on fortitude for oppression, deprivation yet
resilient showing hard work and never give in.
O! ogbaruans build up your fountain for the flow of
love un-restrained, yes, your fountain pens can tell the
story where you are; script on till the mountain top
reads your notes of your strength.
Fight writing, telling the root of the Ogbaruans
across the Niger where brotherhood is as old.
Where is your love in the presence of oppression, show
the spirit of this course till Niger returns her
tributaries to rest and thy children set at the
pinnacle? There you are, build up the hope of others-
The Ogbaruan ideology and spirit, then shall the World
see the people of a great scope, splendor and
imagination. The Ogbaruan.
