Membership
to this chapter could be found in article 4 of the
associations memorandum of understanding bylaws. It
states that members of the association shall comprise
of all sons and daughters and wives of Ogbaru
indigines residing in New York, New Jersey,
Connecticut and Pensylvania area.
The article also extends associate memberships to
nieces and nephews (umunwadiani), and in-laws (ndiogo),
and to friends and well wishers of the Ogbaru people.
In fact, we encourage others to come to our
deliberations if all interests are served.
Our chapter accepts an enrolment fee of $50.00 at the
time of registration and also asks for a $50.00
annual membership dues. The annual dues are payable
by the second meeting of the year, usually in the
month of April.
A small fine is levied on lateness to meetings. Each
member is allowed one absence from the meeting in a
year.
