THE WAY FORWARD
We
wish to inform you that we are left with very little fuel
in the tank when we are supposed to be firing on all
cylinders. This week alone the following activities were
undertaken:
1) Revisiting your Question No. 4 in the last
Interview (With Chief G.C. Nwabueze) ”..can best be
described as a disaster..” We are revisiting the CAUSE
of the disaster;
2)
S.O.S. to Governor Ngige on the ugly environmental
degradation in
Ogbaru. “.Declare Ogbaru a Disaster Area..”
3)
Logistics for Ogbaru World Congress due December
2003 at play;
4)
Petition to Gov. Ngige on mass sack of 60 (sixty)
teachers of Ogbaru origin;
5)
Planning visit to the Governor Peter Odili of the
Rivers State of Nigeria;
6) ODA Secretary General's CALL TO ARMS AND
EXHORTATION Revisited for
your benefit;
7) General Communications
Details on some of the foregoing would be mailed/faxed to
you as soon as we have some fuel. It has not been easy
for the few labourers in the vineyard. Present Dilemma:-
Apart from the little fuel and no spare tyre, we are left
with smashing a deflated front tyre to cross the many
bridges ahead. It is a very difficult, if not an
impossible task.
We
have come this far largely because of the magnanimity of
very few individual Ogbaruans. May God give them
longevity and multiply their bounty. If O.D.A. can touch
the waves with the 'widow's mite' from individuals, she
can rule the waves with much from many. O.D.A. has an
ocean, but i.e. being made to wash her hands with
spittle. The shame of it!
It
is our duty at O.D.A. to at all times to find the chord in
human affairs that strikes at the heartbeat of Ogbaru.
The tempo of events that concern Ogbaru in these parts has
gone three octaves higher. O.D.A., indeed Ogbaru, must
ride with it. Please send us a 'life line' in the interim,
if you have not any decision yet on how to fully empower
O.D.A.
What you do today for O.D.A. for a better and greater
Ogbaru, whether as an individual or as a group, will be
chronicled for posterity. Let Ogbaru engrave in gold your
footprints on the needs of the Ogbaru Development
Association, for the well being of our Motherland.
Fraternal greetings
Yours in the Service of Ourmotherland, Ogbaru
