Because Ogbaru lies in the Riverine area - transportation is
mostly by waterway or road. The state of Ogbaru roads continue
to be a cause for concern.
| A key sysmptom
of bad goverance is decrepit and dilapidated infrastrucutre
in any society. When such structures include roads, the the
problem is more acutely felt. |
| Ogbaruans
everywhere will confirm that the Ogbaru Local Government
Area suffers from acute neglect. A key pointer is the stae
of the 52-miles single carriage road that runs from Onitsha
to Ogwu-Ikpele and could possibly run into Port Harcourt the
capital of Rivers State, or link Abia and Imo States through
the Atani - Ozubulu axis |
| The present
poor state of this once very beautiful and motorable road long neglected by succeeding governments in Anambra State,
had meant that Ogbaru People cannot attract investors and
industrial aminities. Nor can it export most of the foods
and other produces. They pay taxes and get nothing in
return. |
| Our mission is
to get the Anambra State Government to pay attention to our
needs, which are not much. Every Ogbaruan must join in
lobbying and protest to the Governor of Anambra State to
rehabilate the Ogbaru Road. It is all we have and ask for. |
H.E.
The Executive Governor of Anambra State
Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria
